for Life's Answers - Acts 17:11
Jesus said in Matthew 25:35-36, “For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in. Naked, and ye clothed me. I was sick, and ye visited me in prison, and ye came to me.”
We take seriously the Lord’s command to help others. We offer spiritual, emotional and physical assistance. To help our community we offer the following ministries:
Jail: Our jail ministry seeks to give hope and redemption through a new relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. One-on-one Bible studies teach Biblical principals for Godly living.
Homeless: Once a month Berean Baptist Church feeds and shelters those who are homeless in our community. Spiritual guidance through the plan of salvation is clearly given in order to allow each visitor a chance to evaluate their relationship to God. Read about our Homeless Ministry from World Magazine here.
Social Involvement: Through our local paper the Daily Republic we engage the community with timely Pastor's Columns, letters to the Editor and Commentaries on vital social issues from a Christian perspective. Our purpose is to show that the Bible is relevant to the problems of today and strengthen and encourage fellow believers.
Sunday School: Berean Baptist Church offers various Sunday schools for all ages - children and adult. We encourage you to find a class that meets your need. Classes start at 9:30 a.m.
Sunday Morning Worship: Psalm 122:1 says, “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord”. We believe that worship of God is the primary purpose for the morning service. We invite you to come and worship and discover the peace that comes from knowing a loving God who cares for you. Our main service begins at 11:00 A.M.
Sunday Evening Service: Our evening services provide an opportunity to explore deeper truths of God’s Word. Come and learn what God has for you as spiritual truths are presented in a very practical way beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday Evening Service: The emphasis of our Wednesday Evening services is prayer. While a message is given, time is allotted to humble ourselves before God and ask for His intercession in our lives. I Thessalonians 5:17 declares, "Pray without ceasing". This mid-week service begins at 7:00 p.m.
Children are special at Berean Baptist Church. Jesus said in Matthew 19:14, “Suffer the little children to come unto me for such is the kingdom of God”. We believe that we have a God-given responsibility to raise children that not only know Jesus as their Savior, but who are obedient to their parents and also productive citizens. In order to help parents we offer several programs and activities.
We also provide teen activities, opportunities to participate in plays, camps, and other avenues of ministry and service to our community.
In Matthew 28:19-20, our Lord gave this commandment to His followers: “Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you…”
We therefore offer the following additional outreach ministries:
